Cambodia has 5 major sports events in October

Phnom Penh: In October 2024, there are 5 different sports events to be held at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and in some provinces.

1- The Asian Kickboxing Championships 2024

Cambodia has been got the right to host the Asian Kickboxing Championships 2024 from October 7 to 13, with 22 countries from across Asia taking part. As the host, Cambodia has prepared more than 50 athletes for grabbing the medals to nation, with a total of more than 400 athletes. 

2- Cambodia-Chinese Taipei International Friendly Football Match

On FIFA Day, the Cambodia national football team will compete with Chinese Taipei team in international friendly on October 11 at the National Olympic Stadium, under leading of the new coach, Mr. Koji Gyotoku before he must lead the Cambodian team goes to compete in an international friendly with the hosting country, Hong Kong on October 15.  

3- Asian Under-17 Championship Qualifiers

Immediately ended the international friendly match for the big team, Mr. Koji Gyotoku has to continue the heavier duty by leading the Cambodia U17 football team to the AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers for Group B at the National Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh from 19 to 27 October, hosted by Cambodia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Philippines and Macau. 

4- The Event of Ancient Khmer Mixed Martial Arts “the 1st Trophy of Samdech Borvor Thipadei”

The Ancient Khmer Mixed Martial Arts Competition “the 1st Trophy of Samdech Borvor Thipadei” on October 18-19-20, 2024 at the National Olympic Stadium. Sports that are the identity of Khmer, such as Kun Bokator, Yutakkromkhorm, Kun Khmer, Mixed Martial Arts, Wrestling, Khla Krab, Cropeur Ha, Sro Nger Pen and Martial Arts of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. 

5- The 4th National Games and the 2nd National Para Games

Cambodia will organize the 4th National Games and the 2nd National Para Games which will start from October 29 to November 8, 2024. The 4th National Games has 36 sports with 283 disciplines, while the National Para Games has 7 sports with 44 disciplines. The opening and closing ceremonies were held at the National Olympic Stadium, and the venues are in Kep Province, Preah Sihanouk Province, Kampong Chhnang Province, Svay Rieng Province and many other venues in Phnom Penh.
