An American athlete Loves Kun Khmer and Determine to Train Harder to Develop His Skills

An American athlete, Mr. Andrew Connor Arruda Livereira has expressed his deep love for Kun Khmer and considers it the strongest in the world because it can be used with the entire body.

This statement was made after the American athlete trained and competed in the 5th World Kun Khmer Championship 2024 in Siem Reap Province and defeated Cambodian athlete Sek Kimtol to advance to the finals in the evening of December 7, 2024.

Andrew Connor Arruda Livereira expressed his happiness after seeing the large number of fans, he emphasized that, if compared to the competition in America and it was really good because Cambodian fans showed a lot of love and friendliness towards him.

The American athlete continued that: “Kun Khmer is the strongest in the world. The reason I think so is because this martial art has a combination of weapons, such as hands, elbows, knees, and kicks, etc., which can all be used, which makes the competition in the ring completely. I train regularly every day, but I also want to come to Cambodia to train more because I really love Kun Khmer.”

It should be noted that: The American athlete Andrew Connor Arruda Livereira trained with the Kun Khmer club, created by Cambodian-American Song Kim, the son of the great Ku Khmer master Seng Bunsong. Andrew defeated Cambodian athlete Sek Kimtol in the semi-finals of the World Kun Khmer Championship in the 75 kg men’s amateur category and will compete in the final in the evening of December 8, 2024.

Please note that: The 5th World Kun Khmer Championship 2024 will be held for 3 days from December 06 to 08, 2024 at the Royal Palace Garden in Siem Reap Province, with more than 100 athletes from 18 countries participated in the competition, in accordance to the international sports standards. Over the past 2 days, the event has attracted a large number of fans, both domestic and international visitors. On the last day, there will also be many matches and outstanding Cambodian athletes will participate, especially the presence of the best athlete Mr. Prom Samnang.
