The Main Purpose of the Event of AIA Pink Run 2024

The Event of AIA Pink Run 2024 will take place on Sunday, October 13, 2024 in front of Wat Botum Vatei Park in 3 disciplines with the distance of 10 km, 5 km and 2.5 km.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of​ Cambodia, said in a the press conference on Thursday afternoon, September 5, that the event focused on key points such as the celebration of Prek Chik Funan Techo Project, the promotion of breast cancer programs, the charity program helps Home Hospital specialize in treating breast cancer and inspiring sports to the masses. At the same time, professional athletes can participate in competitions to strengthen their abilities.

For people who registered to participate, the Secretary-General of NOCC said that, there has been a lot of revival in the last few days, with about 2,000 people, while the organizing committee expects a total of between 3,000 and 4,000 participants.

Ms. Khieu Virakchan, Marketing Manager of AIA Cambodia, confirmed that: The running selection because is the popular sport, especially in Phnom Penh, which has become a daily activity, so she hopes that, it can be a message to help mainstream related to breast cancer promotion.

Representatives of the same company said that: The campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer was supported by the Ministry of Women's Affairs. In particular, what the company expects this year is to provide the primary breast cancer diagnosis to 5,000 women in 20 locations in Phnom Penh, as well as to raise awareness and mobilize support for health care.
