Five more gold medals are up for grabs for athletes from Cambodia today

As of July 12, Cambodia has won ten medals in total from the 2nd AMMA Championship 2024—one gold, one silver, and eight bronze. Five athletes will compete for gold in the final on July 13, 2024, starting at 2:00 pm at the National Olympic Stadium, where spectators are welcome.

Khieu Chandaroth won a gold medal in the 49 kg weight category, and Kunthavannita won a silver medal in the 69 kg weight category, making up the ten medals that were won yesterday. 

Athletes who won the bronze medals yesterday are: 

1. Thean Ath (Chan Sam Ath) Weight 60 kg, Bronze Medal Winner in MODERN MMA MENS (Modern MMA) 


2. Hardy Weight - 77 kg Bronze Medal MODERN MMA MENS(Modern MMA) 


3. Athlete Outharoth, weight 54 kg, bronze medal in MODERN MMA WOMENS (Modern MMA) 


4. Toun Srey Phin - 60 kg, bronze medal in MODERN MMA WOMENS (Modern MMA) 


5. Rin Sarath, weight 65 kg, bronze medal, TRADITIONAL MMA MENS(Ancient MMA) 


6. Sen Chanrithikun (Thiago) Weight: 85 kg Bronze Medal TRADITIONAL MMA MENS (Ancient MMA) 


7. In Srey Pov, 54 kg bronze medal, TRADITIONAL MMA WOMENS (Ancient MMA) and 


8. Pheng Sopha, Bronze Medal, 56 kg TRADITIONAL MMA MENS(Ancient MMA).


For the match on the third day, July 13, 2024, which is the end day of the event, five Cambodian athletes will compete for gold medals, including Hun Chanreach in the 120 kg weight category against Kyrgyzstan. Chhit Phu Thong (Men Mekha) competes against Tajikistan in the 71 kg weight category. Hun Kim Heang fights against Kazakhstan in the 71 kg weight category. And Long La against Kazakhstan, in the 60 kg weight category.
