On Monday morning, May 12, the Organizing Commission to select athletes to prepare for the Youth Games in Bahrain in October 2025, met to discuss the procedures about registering and preparing for this major event.
H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, said that, "We met to discuss the procedures for registering and preparing to participate, as well as the numbers that we need to give to our National Sports Federations, and our National Sports Federations can select a number of potential athletes so that we can follow the procedures in a timely manner and then submit them to the host country's organizing commission.
We have chosen the deadline of May 30 for everyone to register first, and in June and July, we will complete registration and will set the deadline on July 30. So, what is important is the procedure for preparing the form, having a clear and valid passport."
His Excellency the Secretary of State added that, the meeting also urged the athletes' training. Therefore, the participants, including 45 delegation leaders, coaches, athletes, and artists from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, totaled nearly 200. This participation is not only focused on competition, but also receiving the event flag to Cambodia as the next host for 2029.
