HE Dr. Thong Khon Congratulates the Cambodia Gymnastics Team after winning the Bronze Medal in the 9th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championship 2024

HE Dr. Thong Khon, Senior Minister, President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) and the President of the Cambodia Gymnastics Federation, congratulated the Cambodia National Gymnastics Team for winning a medal in the 9th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championship 2024 will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from June 6-11, 2024.

The Senior Minister said that: "Congratulations and admires to nephews, nieces and grandchildren who are the Cambodia National Gymnastics Team for their working hard and training until they got a good result in the 9th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championship 2024, which won a bronze medal in the Senior Group (Women's Group) by Siv Chantha, Nem Sokheng, Dim Onthida, Chhuon Sovanpanha and Mo Sreypov. 

In addition, HE Dr. Thong Khon also urged and encouraged to all athletes to continue their training efforts to sharpen their skills and improve their high quality in preparation for the International Competitions such as the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand and toward the Cambodia hosting of the 5th Asian Youth Games in 2029.

HE Noy Phana, Secretary General of the Cambodia Gymnastics Federation, stated that: Although we won only one bronze medal in this 9th Asian Championship, it is still a source of pride for the Khmer Nation because the participation at this time, there are 14 countries such as Australia, Cambodia. , Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, South Korea, China Taipei, the Philippines, Thailand and the host Vietnam with a total of 300 players. 

HE Secretary General continued that: "This success is due to the attention, encouragement and urging of the Royal Government, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, especially the leaders of the Federation, such as HE Senior Minister Thong Khon is the President, Oknha Sok Hong is the Vice President and the commitment of the work team as like as coaches, assistant coaches, athletes, just team of Cambodia Gymnasts have the opportunity to be participated in the Asian Championships and achieve such as the great achievements.

Please note that: The 9th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championship 2024, which is hosted by Vietnam, the Cambodia Gymnastics Federation has sent 12 delegates and athletes to participate in the competition. As planned, after completing the above mission, the Cambodian Gymnastics Team will return home in the evening of June 11, 2024 tomorrow.
