The event of the 2nd Southeast Asian Badminton Championship is coming soon, from 7-12 July 2025 at the Badminton court of Morodok Techo National Stadium. A delegation of international referees has arrived in Cambodia to prepare for the event, while athletes will arrive in Cambodia on July 6.
The event will feature five participating countries, including hosts Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, Myanmar and Timor-Leste. This is the second time that Cambodia has hosted the event, after Cambodia had hosted the event for the first time in 2023 after the 32nd SEA Games in 2023.
The Southeast Asian Badminton Championship will be contested in three age categories: Under-15, Under-17 and Under-23. The composition of Cambodia badminton athletes includes: The U23 team has 12 athletes who will compete with athletes from 4 countries in the region, while the U17 team has 9 athletes and the U15 team has 6 Cambodian athletes.
At the same time, the leaders of the Cambodia Badminton Federation also called on citizens and young people who love Cambodia sports please to join in supporting and encouraging Cambodian athletes in large numbers at the badminton court of the Morodok Techo National Stadium. The Federation believes that the direct participation of fans and spectators is an additional motivation to encourage Cambodia athletes to compete for medals for the country.
