In the morning of June 5, 2024, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia organized the Olympic Solidarity Course on the National Judo Coaches for 8 days from June 5 to 23 under the auspices of the Olympic Solidarity Organization (OS) with 25 coaches.
The Judo coach, Mr. Mar Vongvibol told tat: The course was attended by AMAR MERIDJA, a trainer from the International Judo Federation. This training course takes place every 5 years. This course is very important to gain the international knowledge to strengthen the capacity of trainees to reach a higher level.
In fact, the participants from the capital-provinces shared their knowledge to their bases as well. As a result of the previous training, Cambodia judo athletes were able to win gold, silver and bronze medals at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games.
Mr. Mar Vongvibol also stressed that: The training of Mr. AMAR MERIDJA is very clear at the international level. The federation will take this knowledge to the clubs and to the national team.
For the condition to participate in this course, the participants must have a black belt to be able to train their students. Second, must have a federal card or a national Judo Pass. This study will make the participants to be better to understand about the training and functions of coaches to expand the coaching resources to be more and more. Not only that, the participants wanted to get more knowledge to get the good results in the 2025 SEA Games. Out of the theory studies, there will also practices.
