Phnom Penh: The Basic Cricket Training Course organized by the Cambodia Cricket Association under the sponsor of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, for 4 days from 26 to 29 September 2024 completed officially with 95% of participants have passed the final ability test. This basic training course was attended by 30 participants from 3 provincial capitals and there are 7 clubs, 4 Cambodian clubs and 3 local foreign clubs.
Mr. Nou Sophal, Secretary General of the Cricket Association of Cambodia, stated that: The organizing of the basic cricket referee-judge training Course aims to provide knowledge to technical officials, coaches and athletes to be better and understand about the duties, roles and responsibilities of referees-judges, arrangement the venue and coaching strategic plans.
The Secretary-General also claimed that for the 5 subjects that were taught by professional trainers for 4 days, about 95% of participants were tested to have a clear understanding of all the subjects taught by the trainers. This was emphasized to see that all participants such as technical officials, coaches and athletes will bring their knowledge and skills to share to clubs with quality.
The Secretary General emphasized that: After completing this basic training course, the association will open more other courses for officials, coaches and athletes to develop their ability to become an international resource. In particular to expand the cricket resources in Cambodia to be more and more, respond to the international level competitions.
Please note that: This basic level cricket referee-judge training course has 30 participants from 7 clubs, in that 95% participants have been tested to understand of 5 subjects of the training course.
