45 national volleyball coaches participated in the Olympic Solidarity Coaching Course of Volleyball - Level C in collaboration with the Cambodia Volleyball Federation from July 1 to 5 at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, with the participation of the expert instructors.
Mr. Ang Sereypiseth, Secretary General of the Cambodia Volleyball Federation, said that, this coaching course is very important to develop the capacity of volleyball coaches in Cambodia to have by the international standards which recognized by the World Volleyball Federation. In fact, currently, Cambodia Volleyball coaches do not have any the international certificates, so this is a good opportunity to cultivate the resources of international coaches who are Cambodian. Seeing this importance, the Volleyball Federation has spent its own funds to participate, a total of 45 participants, with only 25 specific permits.
The Federation hopes that all participants will gain real knowledge to continue training their teams. Out of theory, participants also received practical training on the court in the fundamentals of volleyball.
It should be noted that, the Olympic Solidarity Coaching Course of Volleyball - Level C was led by Dusan Jarotta from the World Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and included participants from various departments of the Directorate General of Sports, the Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sports, coaches, assistant coaches, and athletes from 32 volleyball clubs, a total of 45 people (13 women).
