The Ancient Khmer MMA, Samdech Thipadei Award, expects more participation and attracts strong support

Phnom Penh: The 3rd Meeting of the Ancient Khmer Mixed Martial Arts Competition, Samdech Thipadei Award was held on August 29, 2024 at the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, focusing on the details of the opening and closing program, the audience, the promotion to Attractive participation. This meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. Thong Khon, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions and President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Commission on Affairs, said that: This is the third meeting of the Commission on Affairs, focusing on the work that has already done and monitoring the program must do until the competing day of the Ancient Khmer Mixed Martial Arts, the First Samdech Thipadei Award from October 18-20, 2024 at the National Olympic Stadium.

The meeting focused on the details of the opening and closing programs and promotions to make the competition more attractive. The Commission on Affairs has worked with all relevant national sports federations to invite all outstanding athletes from all over the Kingdom of Cambodia to participate in the competition in order to boost this large National Ancient Khmer MMA event more solemn and famous.

The Permanent Vice-Chairman of the Commission on Affairs emphasized that: The attention to detail in the work of organizing this competition are all stakeholders, including security, order and media, the Ministry of Information must work together carefully in the clear professional preparation to raise the values ​​of our Khmer ancestral martial arts.

On the incentive award for MMA competitions, the Samdech Thipadei Award was once again explained by H.E. Vath Chamroeun that this is a competition in accordance with the standard sports rules, it is not a professional competition that guarantees the value, that is only the incentive bonuses by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet has already provided in principle to offer the incentive bonuses, such as gold, silver and bronze medals. This is the condition that the competition is a sport condition, so in the rules of sports such as the Olympic games, the winners will receive a medal as a symbol of honor, this is the spirit of the sport, not a professional sport to be respected in the clear sports spirit.

Vath Chamroeun further emphasized that: The meaning of this ancient Khmer mixed martial arts competition is to gather the spirit of solidarity between all Khmer martial arts practitioners and Khmer martial arts trainees, even though they have different names, gathering to join in unity, solidarity in preserving the soul of our one ancestor. We expect that the participation will be more visitors and attract all the supports to make the process of the goal of this ancient Khmer mixed martial arts competition to become a national soul in the spirit of every Cambodian child in the future.
