The Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games of Los Angeles 2028 (LA28) recently unveiled state of the art venues for the 2028 Summer Olympics.
These unique venues have been approved by the International Olympic Committee and the Los Angeles City Council.
Reynold Hoover, CEO of LA28 said that: “Los Angeles is a hub for sports, culture and entertainment, and all of the venues will provide a great experience for athletes and spectators”.
Downtown Los Angeles will serve as a major hub, with the LA Memorial Coliseum Stadium once again hosting the games and Dodger Stadium hosting the baseball games. Boxing will take place at the Peacock Theater and Downtown Arena, while badminton and gymnastics will be held at the Sports Center of University of Southern California.
New Olympic sports such as flag ball and lacrosse will make their debuts at the court in Exposition Park, and tennis will be held at Courthouse Square.
Venice Beach will host the Triathlon event and serve as the departure place of Marathon and cycling route. Long Beach will host the beach volleyball, rowing, mountain climbing and shooting. Trestles Beach in San Clemente will host water skiing.
The Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena will host the Olympic football semifinals and finals again, having previously hosted the event in 1932 and 1984.
The Olympic Games will be held from July 14 to 30, 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games from August 15 to 27.
