Eight Cambodian ju-jitsu delegates join the 8th Asian Championships in the UAE

Eight sports delegates from the Ju-Jitsu Federation of Cambodia (JJFC) will compete in the 8th Ju-Jitsu Asian Championship in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from May 3 to 8.

The mission of the Cambodian Ju-Jitsu squad are overseen by technical officer Sam Sophoan, assistant coach Oliver Robert King, and coach Jasper Martijn Pass. There are five athletes: Tonne Sovanbour Keo, Touch Pei Kakkada, Sor Sophanut, Heng Siv Heang, and gold medallist Kong Mona Mithona from the SEA Games.

 

Athletes from a total of thirty countries participated in the Asian event, according to the Federation. This presents an additional chance for athletes from Cambodia to compete against other nations on the continent, honing their skills and methods while also aiming for greater outcomes for their home country. It is also getting ready for the SEA Games in Thailand in 2025.
