The Important Recommendations of Samdech Borvor Thipadei to the Research Commission on the Mysterious Books of Khmer Ancestral Martial Arts

In the morning of Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the Research Commission on the Mysterious Books of Khmer Ancestral Martial Arts, led by H.E. Dr. Thong Khon, Permanent Chairman, attended a courtesy meeting and received high recommendations from Samdech Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister, at the Peace Palace.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Research Commission, said that: "In this meeting, Samdech Borvor Thipadei recommended changing the date of the Khmer Ancient Mixed Martial Arts Event, the 2nd Samdech Borvor Thipadei's Trophy 2025, from mid-October to November 26-30. On the day of the competition, there will also be special programs with exhibitions or demonstrations of all forms of the Khmer ancient mixed martial arts, all kinds, everything, to be diverse as a whole, plus product sales and some performances and a little art. This is the organizing principle".

Related to the research, H.E. Vath Chamroeun said that: "Samdech advised a good organizational mechanism, a research organization system, a research team, a writing team, a reading team, good and correct, be careful in finding evidence and references documents clearly and writing with evidence and references correctly, do not distort, do not exaggerate, do not prepare and decorate the mysterious scriptures to move away from the clear truth and the real history, the clear history. Be careful in synthesizing, assuming that a work is consistent with the evidence, history, and other references. 

Another important thing is to have good mechanisms and do internal work well and correctly, widely disseminate both research and events to educate society, spread understanding, and cultivate nationalism in the culture of the spirit of ancestral martial arts which is the soul of national culture, to be widely understood, well understood, and widely participated in."

It should also be known that: The Research Commission on the Mysterious Books of Khmer Ancient Martial Arts was established by the Royal Government on September 11, 2024, with H.E. Dr. Thong Khon as its chairman. As for the Khmer Ancient Mixed Martial Arts Event, the 2nd Samdech Borvor Thipadei's Trophy 2025, will be held at Morodok Techo National Stadium, after the first one in 2024 was held at the National Olympic Stadium.
