The Commission of the Khmer Ancient MMA and the Khmer Ancient Martial Arts Book have agreed on the new projects

In the meeting and discussing to review the work progress on Tuesday morning, May 13, the commission of the Khmer Ancient Mixed Martial Arts and the Khmer Ancient Martial Arts Book have agreed on the new projects.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Permanent Vice President, said that: The commission has agreed on a scientific research study that is well-organized and detailed, with a clear mechanism. The commission has approved on this project and is ready to submit it to Samdech Borvor Thipadei to review and decision. The second is the organization of the Khmer ancient mixed martial arts competition to be held from November 27 to 30, 2025. This project has been controlled in detail in terms of both publicity and promotion as a major national movement to gain public awareness and receive support.

What we focus on is to consistently implement and respect with the principles and recommendations of Samdech Borvor Thipadei. This event includes both competitions and displays of achievements and displays of Khmer ancient martial arts in all forms, all types, including weapons and tactics. In 2024, we already have some, so this year we will add 5-6 more types, Samdech said that, "Include all the forms that are left, whether less or large, to show and remind that our ancestors really had a variety of martial arts."

Regarding registration, H.E. Vath Chamroeun said that, martial arts experts, whether affiliated with the federation or not, can participate, with registration starting from August.
