“Samdech Thipadei” MMA Championship a chance for seniors to re-enact lost martial arts

The inaugural Khmer MMA Championship which is also known as “Samdech Thipadei” championship, is slated to take place in October 2024, and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, the prime minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has voiced strong support for it.

The primary martial arts federations that will support the event are the Kun Bokator Federation, Kun Khmer Federation, the MMA Federation, and the Yuthkromkhorm Federation. However, the regulations will be incorporated into training with an emphasis on the shared interests rather than merely following federal statutes.

There are acting and fighting for each game level.There are volunteers and professionals in that kind of fighting for competitions with open enrollment for participants ages 18 to 65.

The traditional Khmer martial arts competition, according to H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, is a significant chance to uplift the elderly.

Reminiscent of Khmer martial arts, particularly the numerous other forms that the general public is unaware of.The organizing committee thus urges more senior martial practitioners to sign up for the competition.
