Under the support of the International Olympic Solidarity Organization (OS), the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) in collaboration with the Cambodia Table Tennis Federation (CTTF) opened the Olympic Solidarity Coaching Course of Table Tennis in Level 1 for 8 days from December 2 to 9, 2024.
Mr. Heng Sokcheat, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodia Table Tennis Federation, confirmed that in organizing of the Olympic Solidarity Coaching Course of Table Tennis in Level 1, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) collaborated with the Federation and used the funds of the Olympic Solidarity which will be held for 8 days to increase the number of table tennis coaches across the country on the way toward the quality according to the national and international standards.
The Deputy Secretary-General continued that: This coaching course was attended by 25 participants, including 21 men and 4 women from Phnom Penh, 24 from and 1 from province. This course is very important in strengthening and expanding the human resources to develop the table tennis sector in Cambodia to achieve good results. The Cambodia Table Tennis Federation has paid attention to athletes, coaches, referees and judges who have worked hard to use their physical strength, mental strength, spirit, materials and funds to lead and manage the development of this professional sport for continuous progress.
With these, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has been made the deep reforms in the field of physical education and sports which has based on the rectangular strategy, phase 4, the national development strategic plan 2019-2023 and based on the context of national sports development and regional development as like as international development, especially in the process of preparing to host of the Kingdom of Cambodia of the 5th Asian Youth Games 2029.
