Manny Pacquiao to promote and support Kun Khmer

Manny Pacquiao, a world-class boxer and former Philippine senator, paid Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet a courtesy call on May 30 to discuss work at the January 7 Palace. The Prime Minister believed that the king boxer's presence would help promote sports and tourism in Cambodia.

Mr. Manny Pacquiao used the opportunity to express his gratitude to Prime Minister Hun Manet for enabling him and the delegation to make a courtesy call and discuss work, as well as his delight in visiting Cambodia and sharing his boxing experience.

 

The international professional boxer, the Philippines' symbol, also informed the Prime Minister that boxing is a unique and difficult sport that necessitates intense training, strict discipline, and an understanding of clear principles in order to build a career as a boxer of renown.

 

Mr. Manny Pacquiao said that he will support and promote Kun Khmer martial arts, as well as meet with notable boxers from the Kingdom of Cambodia to discuss the spirit of boxing and share his experiences.

In response, the Prime Minister warmly greeted Manny Pacquiao, who is visiting Cambodia for the second time after his initial visit in 2016 and was joined by His Excellency Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, on a state visit.

 

The Prime Minister, Hun Manet, also stated that the presence of Manny Pacquiao, a well-known boxer among Cambodians, will help to promote sports, tourism, and the growth of Cambodia-Philippines relations.
