H.E Ly Kosal, Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defense and President of the Cambodia Badminton Federation was elected on July 3 to the federation's eighth mandate.
H.E Ly Kosal will be president of the federation from 2024 to 2028. He is accompanied by H.E. Kosal Sovanvisal, First Vice President, and H.E. Cheam Sophea, Second Vice Chairman. H.E. Keo Ros, Secretary General of the Federation, is joined by two other Deputy Secretaries-General, H.E. Cheng Nhan and Her Excellency Kosal Sovann Morakot. The Treasurer-General is H.E. Keung Phira, while the other two members are H.E. Sok Pang and H.E. Mok Saroeun.
H.E Ly Kosal is motivated to promote badminton's growth and potential on a national and international scale. He will also work hard to discover a source of funding to help athletes throughout training and competition in addition to the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport's budget.
On the occasion of introducing the members of the Executive Committee of the 8th Mandate, HE Ly Kosal, President of the Badminton Federation of the new mandate, presented seven players with impairments with $50 each in philanthropic incentives. The players and coaches who competed in the Badminton Asia Southeast Asia Regional Junior Championships 2024 in Laos received $250l each.
