70 MMA Coaches Received the Technical Training Workshop from the Expert Instructor

Phnom Penh: 70 mixed martial arts coaches from across the country received the technical training through a technical coaching workshop of the mixed martial arts to prepare for participating in the 2nd Ancient Khmer MMA Championship 2025 of the Samdech Borvor Thipadei Trophy, which will be held from October 16 to 19, 2025.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, stated that: This workshop was obtained to be organized by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister, through the commission on affairs which led by H.E. Dr. Thong Khon as chairman, in order to improve the technical skills and ethics for MMA Coaches to strengthen the capacity and quality of Khmer martial arts, which is the National Soul of Our Khmer People.

His Excellency, Secretary of State emphasized that: For paying attention on the highest recommendations which provided by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei, the mixed martial arts team in the Cambodia Mixed Martial Arts Federation must work hard with the high responsible consciousness to produce tangible results. This workshop is what we have focused on to ensure that all coaches know the theory of sports, know how to properly plan for training, especially technical training plans, and know how to train the physical strength of male and female athletes to be strong and resilient in order to obtain the clear quality in competitions, with techniques, especially the basics of martial arts, from the expert instructor of the federation such as Dr. Seng Bunsong. 

His Excellency claimed that: After completing this workshop, our mixed martial arts coaches will gain the knowledge perfectly and quality in training the Ancient Khmer MMA because through this workshop, participants who are coaches have trained in both theory and direct practice, which is a combination of the mixed martial arts and grappling techniques.

 

This is the first technical workshop of the ancient Khmer mixed martial arts and it is also a model under the attention of the leaders and the indication is the highest recommendation of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in developing the human resources in the ancient Khmer mixed martial arts for sustainability and stability in the long future.

 

Please note that: This first technical workshop of the ancient Khmer mixed martial arts has 30 coaches from the far provinces and 40 coaches from Phnom Penh and Kandal province.
