Cambodia national team went to compete friendly against Vietnam on March 19

The Cambodia national football team traveled to Vietnam on Monday afternoon to prepare for an international friendly match against the Vietnam national team on March 19, 2025 at Gò Đậu Stadium in Binh Duong province, Vietnam.

Mr. Koji Gyotoku, coach of the Cambodia national football team, told reporters before leading the team to leave Cambodia that, the training camp this time was not very good because the camp did not meet well because some players were playing for clubs that had consecutive matches. However, he hopes the team will try their best for the match against the strong Vietnamese team on Wednesday.

Mr. Koji said, “The match against Vietnam is good for us because Vietnam is a strong team. In terms of preparation, we did not prepare well because our players did not train together. Until yesterday, which was the last day, we did not train together. So whatever we try, we will try to do well and hope that our players will gain a lot of experience for this match because our opponent is the strong team.”

It should be noted that, the Cambodia national team has started the first day of training with about 10 members. Then, the members of Phnom Penh Crown and Naga World joined the training after the two teams met in the first leg of the 18th Samdech Techo Hun Sen Cup (National), except for Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng players who did not participate in the training, traveling to Vietnam with the team after they returned from helping the team in the AFC Challenge League 2024/25 match against the host team Shan United of Myanmar in the second leg of the last eight teams recently.
