For the 4th National Games, Badminton Competition Will Is Following the SEA Games Standards

Phnom Penh: H.E.  Keo Ros, Secretary General of the Cambodia Badminton Federation, on behalf of H.E. Ly Kosal, President of the Cambodia Badminton Federation, emphasized that: The 4th National Games and the 2nd National Para Games in 2024 will start from November 4 to 8, 2024, with 16 clubs from the Provincial - City, more than the 3rd National Games in 2022, with 3 provinces-city and more than 100 athletes, delegates and coaches.

His Excellency, Secretary General emphasized that the competition of the National Games 2024, the implementation is modeled by the 32nd SEA Games 2023 to strengthen the capacity of athletes and technical officials, judges and referees toward the host of the Asian Youth Games 2029.

He also claimed that: The competition of National Games which is held every two years that is the goal of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, is to measure the level of ability of athletes, especially to inspire in the provinces-capital to pay more attention to the promotion of Badminton resources to be more and increase in the provinces to extract resources from the best badminton players from the provinces to the national team to train for the national representative competitions in international events. On the other hand, this National Games competition is also an inspiration for the provincial-capital to participate in the strategy of the Royal Government, a citizen can play a sport for healthy and avoiding other diseases and make Cambodia richer in recourses of outstanding athletes.

His Excellency further explained that: The 4th National Games Competition organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the athletes from the capitals and provinces who win the medals from 1st to 3rd place have many opportunities and were selected by the federation to train as a national team, to prepare competition for medals for Cambodia in international events and SEA Games.

Please be informed that: The 4th National Games and the 2nd National Para Games 2024 for Badminton will be held from 4 to 8 November 2024 with 7 disciplines, men's singles, women's singles and men’s doubles, women's doubles and men-women team competition.
