The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has just voted to expand the number of sports for the 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Dhaka, Senegal.
Swimming, archery, athletics, baseball, basketball, boxing, dance, breakdancing, bicycling, horseback riding, fencing, soccer, gymnastics, basketball, judo, boat racing, rowing, sailing, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, volleyball, wrestling, and wushu are the 25 existing sports.
The remaining ten sports (engagement sports) include canoeing, golf, hockey, karate, pentathlon, shooting, climbing, waterboarding, tennis, and weightlifting.
Athletes have a maximum age of 17 years old. The 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Dhaka, Senegal, will take place from October 31 to November 13, 2026.
