(Phnom Penh): The International Kun Khmer Federation (KIF) has decided to assign duties to two important persons to strengthen the internal unity and promote Kun Khmer to enter the Olympic movement as soon as possible. 1- H.E. Vath Chamroeun has been assigned the duty as acting president of the International Kun Khmer Federation. 2- H.E. Khov Chhay has been assigned the duty as acting secretary general of the federation until the organization of the extraordinary general assembly again.
Regarding the adjustment of the role of the engine head of the above federation, it is done to strengthen the internal unity of the National Kun Khmer on the international stage and reaching to achieve the goal of the Kun Khmer entering in the Olympic movement as soon as possible.
It should be noted that, the International Kun Khmer Federation has been operating in three stages, with Mr. Maem Ra as the president.
The main mission of the KIF is to “preserve to develop Kun Khmer” and “develop to preserve Kun Khmer”, which is a type of martial arts that representing the Khmer national identity. Currently, the federation has members in more than 60 countries around the world.
