WBC Kun Khmer Belt with the word Kun Khmer, Cambodia flag and the image of Angkor Wat

Phnom Penh: The WBC Kun Khmer Belt was brought to Cambodia in the evening of March 31 yesterday, with a parade throughout Phnom Penh after the World Boxing Council (WBC) recognized and included the word “Kun Khmer” on the official belt, named the WBC Kun Khmer Belt, with the Cambodia flag and the image of Angkor Wat on the world belt.

Lork Oknha Srey Chanthorn, President of the International Kun Khmer Club (KKIF) and Vice President of the International Kun Khmer Federation, said that the WBC Kun Khmer Belt was designed directly by the President of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaiman, and he also released a short video confirming the official signing of the creation of the first WBC Kun Khmer Belt for Cambodia.

In addition to these wonders, the circle around the WBC Kun Khmer Belt, as well as its strap, is blue and red, representing the Cambodian flag. He confirmed that: “This color represents Cambodia because this is the first model belt representing Cambodia.”

The president of KKIF club added that: “As for the next belts, we can use different colors. This is also the history for Cambodia that the WBC Belt has the word “Kun Khmer” and we will organize the competition to grab this belt in Preah Sihanouk province during the upcoming Khmer New Year.”
