The Winner of EMWI 2025 International E-sports Champion Wants More Competitions in Cambodia
The Event of ASEAN International E-sports of Exprez Mekong Warrior Invitations (EMWI) 2025 has found its champion that is Cambodian team CFU Gaming, after defeating the national team Pro E-Sports by a score of 3-1 in the final on the evening of July 6 at the T.Y Media E-sports Center.
With the support of the Cambodia E-sports Federation, Khmer Beverages and T.Y Media have jointly organized this international event to provide an opportunity for Cambodian e-sports players to compete to strengthen their skills and techniques, towards building a higher level of capacity for Cambodia to compete on the international stages. The competition has four participating countries such as: Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Singapore.
After going through an online qualifier for over a month with hundreds of teams participating, the EMWI 2025 event has found 8 teams representing the above 4 countries to compete in the Play-Off in Cambodia, and Cambodia e-sports team did well in defeating the foreign partner teams. In fact, CFU Gaming and Pro E-sports of Cambodia have advanced to the finals before the strong team CFU won to become the champion.
After helping the winning team, the player Nhem Chandavan expressed his happiness that his team succeeded according to plan. He considered this competition as an important warm-up for the team in preparing to participate in the upcoming MSC (MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2025) in Saudi Arabia in the future, as well as competing for the opportunity to participate in the 33rd SEA Games at the end of 2025.
The representative of the champion team continued that, organizing such as the international event is very beneficial for the Cambodia E-Sports Sector, especially the team itself in developing the capabilities to be better to prepare for competitions on the International stage. They also hoped that the company of Khmer Beverages and T.Y Media, as well as the federation, will continue to organize this competition or expand the competition at both the national and international levels to further promote the development of the Cambodia E-sports Sector to be more and more.
For the event of the first Exprez Mekong Warrior Invitations 2025 in Cambodia, which has just concluded, the champion team CFU Gaming received a trophy and a cash prize of $6,000. The Pro E-sports team received second place and a cash prize of $3,000, while the third place went to another Cambodia team, Galaxy Legends, with a cash prize of $2,000. The teams ranked 4th to 8th, including Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Singapore, also received the cash prize supports.
