Hun Chanreach considers MMA Event as an opportunity to promote Kun Khmer

Phnom Penh: Mr. Hun Chanreach, President of Cambodia Top Team Club, expressed his happiness after Cambodia received the right to host the 2nd Asian MMA Championship and considered this forum as an opportunity to promote the development of Cambodia mixed martial arts, especially to promote more of the Khmer Traditional Martial Arts.

The coach and also is a players who is preparing to participate in the big competition above confirmed that most of the Cambodia athletes who have to participate in this event are from Kun Khmer. Therefore, the competition will also focus on Kun Khmer Technique, just add some special tricks such as wrestling, striking and grappling. But what is important is to focus on Kun Khmer to promote Kun Khmer Martial Arts on the international stage.

Mr. Hun Chanreach continued, "We will use this international event to show the world about Kun Khmer and our Kun Khmer players can also compete in MMA." For months ago, when we gather, we focus on Kun Khmer techniques, we just add techniques to prevent the opponent from catching us, but all our national team players will show Kun Khmer to the world.

He added that after the first Asian MMA Championship in Cambodia, he hopes that in the future, Cambodia will have more programs from the continental level to the World Championships, and he ready to train athletes, especially all Kun Khmer Players to be able to participate in all those mixed martial arts events as well.
