8 clubs participated in the National Tennis Championship 2024

Phnom Penh: The National Tennis Championship 2024 has officially started at the National Olympic Stadium from January 13 to 17, 2025.

The competition had 8 clubs from ministries, capital city and provinces, such as Preah Vihear Province, Battambang Province, Siem Reap Province, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Interior, Arun Reah Club, Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Kandal Province Club, with a total of 55 male and female athletes participating under the annual budget of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. This was stated by Mr. Chea Pov, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodia Tennis Federation in the afternoon of January 15, 2025.

The Deputy Secretary General highlighted that: The federation has set 4 disciplines for the national tennis championship, including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, and women's doubles.

He confirmed that: This competition was held to select the outstanding male and female athletes to be national athletes to gather for training in preparation for the SEA Games in Thailand at the end of December 2025. For this competition, male and female athletes who achieve good rankings from number 1 to number 3 in each discipline will be included in the federation's national team in preparation for testing, participating in the national training team, and preparing to participate in the SEA Games 2025 in Thailand.
