The Boat Race of the 2nd H.E. Dr. Sar Sokha’s Trophy this year will be held on the Vaiko River, Svay Rieng Province

The Cambodia Canoe and Rowing Federation will organize the event of the international traditional boat competition, such as Ngor boats, Phka Char boats, Dragon boats, canoes, kayaks and rowing boats, to select the national champion, the 2nd H.E. Dr. Sar Sokha’s Trophy, which will be held from September 12 to 14, 2025 on the Vaiko River, Svay Rieng City, Svay Rieng Province.

This competition, the Federation has organized under the budget support project of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in collaboration with the Cambodia Canoe and Rowing Federation and the Svay Rieng Provincial Administration, with competition in 6 boat types and 13 disciplines, including:

 

1. Traditional boats, Ngor boats with 22 persons, international size for men (wooden boats), competing in the 800-meter discipline.

2. The International traditional boat category (dragon boat) with 12 persons, including both men and women, competing in two events: 800 meters and 200 meters for men and women.

3. The International Phka Char Boat with 5 persons, including both men and women, 200 meters.

4. The categories of Canoe, kayak and rowing boat, including both men and women, are as follows:

1. 200 meters canoe C1.

2. 200 meters kayak K1.

3. 800 meters rowing boat 1X.

As informed above, please, Excellences, Madams, Presidents of Boat Racing Associations throughout the capital and provinces, hurry up and apply to participate in the above competition from the date of announcement onwards, at the 3rd floor, room 3 of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia building, and the application process will be closed by August 31, 2025.

For application forms to participate in the competition:

 

1. 3 copies of the application form, 2. 3 copies of the contract, 3. 3 copies of the list of delegates, coaches, players, and athletes, 4. 3 copies of a new photo album measuring 4cm x 6cm for each person, 5. 2 copies of the photos of delegates, coaches, players, and athletes.

Note: For all members of the public who have a boat team and wish to participate in the above program, please apply to participate. All expenses for accommodation, meals, and travel are the responsibility of the Ministry, Department, capital and Province.
