NOCC sets out a plan for the SEA Games in Thailand, AI technology and the Asian Youth Olympic Games 2029

Phnom Penh: Speaking to the sport media after the closing of the Congress of summarizing the work of 2024 and set direction for 2025 of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia in the afternoon of the March 27th at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia. H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, highlighted that the congress set out the direction for 2025, which has three major goals that all relevant parties must be responsible for in order to achieve results for the nation.

These three major plans include:

- 1. Setting out of Preparing for the 33rd SEA Games 2025, which Thailand will host in December. This plan, although we estimate that, we will not be able to maintain the medals and achievements as when we were the hosts, because some sports were not included by the host Thailand and the competition is organized by their country, unlike in our country. However, the Congress urged the National Sports Federations to continue their efforts to prepare themselves for participation and to do their best not to lose their sporting qualities, to strive for unity in preparing athletes, preparing training plans and preparing competition plans for the SEA Games in Thailand to be better.

- 2. The Congress urged all National Sports Federations to know how to use artificial intelligence (AI) programs to keep up with the development of this technology, including training plans, scoring and evaluation or judgment, which can help facilitate the work of coaches and athletes.

- 3. The Congress urged the National Sports Federations and stakeholders to always be prepared for hosting the Asian Youth Olympic Games, which Cambodia will host in 2029, to put out the master plan to be ready in 2025, and to be submitted to the leaders.

It should be noted that, the Congress to summarize the work of 2024 and set direction for 2025 of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, held at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia in the afternoon of March 27, 2025, were attended by relevant organizations and institutions such as the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Defense, and 56 national sports federations.
