Cambodian Boxing Team Won 2 Bronze Medals at the International Boxing Tournament in Uzbekistan

Two members of the Cambodia national boxing team, including Anwar Nesredinov and Rajapov Abdullah, won 2 bronze medals at the 2025 International Boxing Tournament in Chirchik city, Uzbekistan.

According to H.E. Buy Sophoan, President of the Cambodia Boxing Federation,  said that, the tournament will last for more than a week, from May 2-9, with athletes from nearly 20 countries, especially strong countries around the world, such as Kazakhstan, Philippine, Russia, and host Uzbekistan, participating.

Cambodia sent two athletes to participate, Anwar Nesredinov competing in the 80kg weight category and Rajapov Abdullah competing in the 92kg weight category. As a result, both Khmer-Uzbek athletes won bronze medals.

After the competition, the male athlete Anwar will continue to train with the national team there to prepare for another international competition, the Thailand Open in Thailand from May 24 to June 1, 2025, to measure and strengthen their abilities in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand at the end of 2025, H.E. Buy Sophoan added.​
