The 2025 Women Run 10K Expected to Reach 4,000 Participants

The Women Run 10K will be held again on March 8, 2025 in front of Wat Botumwattey Park. This is the fourth time since 2020 that the event has been held in 2020 and received more than 2,000 participants, in 2023 received nearly 2,000, especially in 2024 received more than 3,000 participants. But In 2025, Mr. Loke Kah Meng, Director General of Sovannaphum Life, expressed his expectation that, there could be reached 4,000 participants. As of Wednesday morning, February 12, approximately 2,400 participants had registered to participate.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, said that: The Women Run 10K was organized to celebrate the International Women’s Day and commemorate the achievements of women, contributing to the world and the Royal Government to promote gender equality.

 

His Excellency Secretary General also thanked to the Royal Government for allowing and supporting the marathon events as well as the above event. At the same time, there is also participating to help the security and order, which provides warmth to the participants. Another important point is that both national and international participants, are an important incentive, because without participants, the event cannot proceed. His Excellency called on the relevant parties to make efforts to organize well so that the competition can run smoothly.

Mr. Sem Phalla, an expert in organizing marathon events in Cambodia, thanked Sovannaphum Life for organizing this event for the fourth time and plans to continue in the next years more and more.

It should be noted that: The organizing company will deduct 2,000 riel from the budget of those who register to participate in the race to support two organizations in Cambodia that work to help women. The first is the Cambodia Organization for Helping Women in Crisis and the second is the Women Are Gold Organization.
