The Olympic Day is held with style this year

Every year, all member nations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), including Cambodia, celebrate Olympic Day as a way to honor the ideals of the Olympic Games.

“On Olympic Day we celebrate the creation of the Olympic Movement by our founder Pierre de Coubertin. This year's Olympic Day is a very special one,taking place just ahead of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. With the excitement building, the athletes, the fans, the entire Olympic community around the world- all of us - we are all looking forward to a new era of Olympic Games: younger, more inclusive, more urban, more sustainable. The very first Olympic Games with full gender parity. The very first Olympic Games fully in line with our Olympic Agenda,” the IOC President Thomas Bach said.  

He stated that the athletes in Paris will motivate us through their accomplishments and the entire globe by emulating our Olympic motto: Together, faster, higher, and stronger

“The Olympic Games always build bridges and bring people together in peace and solidarity. This is the beauty of sport: it inspires us to move, it brings out the best in us, it keep us healthy, and it brings us all together - as friends and as a community, wherever we are and whichever way we choose to move,” he said.

“On this very special Olympic Day, let us celebrate the joy that only sport can give us. In this true Olympic spirit, enjoy this Olympic Day. Together with all of you, I look

forward to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 for an unforgettable celebration of the joy of sport, for a celebration of our shared humanity - for a celebration of

peace,” he added.

Furthermore, a team of athletes will participate in Olympic Day (Olympic Day) at the Morodok Techo National Stadium on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 8 to 10 am, according to the announcement made by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC). Approximately 200 additional kids and 100 members of the national team will participate in this significant yearly event.
