H.E. Dr. Thong Khon visits and inspects the training of young athletes to prepare to go to Bahrain

H.E. Dr. Senior Thong Khon, President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, met with and inspected the training of the national youth team before leaving to participate in the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain.

The visit and inspection took place over two days, on Thursday, October 9 and Friday, October 10, 2025, on the 14 sports that Cambodia will send to participate in the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain. The 14 sports include taekwondo, WT, badminton, athletics, table football, 3-on-3 basketball, judo, wrestling, swimming, jiu-jitsu, mixed martial arts, weightlifting, pencaksilat, and Kun Khmer.

H.E. Dr. Thong Khon instructed all athletes to maintain their health and train fully. Not only that, must respect discipline and maintaining dignity are also principles that young candidates must adhere to.

Out of meeting with all young Cambodian athletes, H.E. Dr. Thong Khon also took the opportunity to inspect the rehearsals of the art team at the Department of Arts and Visual Arts, which is preparing to receive the Asian Youth Games flag in Bahrain on behalf of Cambodia as the next host country for 2029.
