This year’s national badminton championship will select outstanding young players for AYG 2031

Phnom Penh: The national sports event, which will be held for three days from November 14 to 16, 2025 at the badminton court in the Morodok Techo National Stadium, Phnom Penh, seems to be different from last year, namely, we are organizing disciplines to compete for selecting for the senior team and having disciplines to select for the junior team to prepare for the path to hosting the Asian Youth Games in 2031.

H.E. Keo Ros, Secretary General of the Badminton Federation of Cambodia, said that the 2025 national badminton championship has 18 participating clubs and a total of 249 delegates, coaches and athletes, in that there are 208 male and female athletes. According to him, this year there has been an increase in both the number of clubs and the number of athletes, all of which show that the badminton sector is booming and is developing towards its potential.
