Mr. Thun Sophea thanked all Cambodian fans after his athletes such as Um Srey Penh and male athlete Chhong Visal, advanced to the final of the Kun Khmer competition at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
The coach of the Cambodia Kun Khmer national team said that, the two athletes showed good technique in both attacking and defending, as well as attacking out and attacking in.
Relating to this competition, female athlete Um Srey Penh called on for encouragement from Cambodian fans for the final competition.
For the finals, which will be held on Sunday, October 26, Um Srey Penh, who defeated the Philippines in the semi-finals, will face athletes from Kazakhstan for the gold medal. Meanwhile, male athlete Chhong Visal, who has won four consecutive competitions, will face an Uzbekistani player.
Chhong Visal, who defeated the Mongolian player in the semi-finals, said that all the competitions were difficult, but the effort for the nation and family was the motivating factor that urged him to work hard until the final.
