Samdech Techo Hun Sen: Please athletes who are going to participate in the SEA Games in Thailand, please participate in the competition as normal

Please athletes, who are going to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, please participate in the competition as usual. This is the message of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in the morning of December 8, after exploding of armed conflict against Cambodian territorial integrity for the last two days.




Out of advising to commanders at all levels and educating officers and soldiers to make everyone aware of the red lines that have already been set to against back and instructing authorities at all levels to strive to help people fleeing from dangerous areas to safe areas, Samdech has also canceled various work programs to join the Prime Minister of Cambodia in commanding the armed forces to resist the invasion. Meanwhile, Samdech also asked for the understanding of national and international guests who were unable to meet the Samdech.

However, Samdech Techo Hun Sen has instructed athletes preparing to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand to participate as normal. For the event of the 2025 SEA Games are scheduled to be held from December 9-20, by Cambodia is sending athletes in 12 sports to participate, including athletics, swimming, taekwondo WT, jiu-jitsu, teqball, gymnastics, Equestrian, Fencing, kickboxing, jet skis, triathlon and e- sports, with a total of 137 delegates, coaches, assistant coaches and athletes.
