AID from IOC and OCA for refugees of the War had arrived in Srei Snam district this morning

H.E. Buy Sophoan, Advisor to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia and representing H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, has led a team work to Srei Snam district, Siem Reap province at 8 am on Saturday, December 27, 2025, to deliver food, medical equipment and materials under the Olympic Movement humanitarian aid to the Oddar Meanchey provincial administration to continue to help the refugees of the war.

According to H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, the donations of the refugees of the war of the Olympic Refugees Foundations is a special project of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and the two international organizations have examined the reasons for very specific, not just giving it away, before deciding to provide charitable donations to Cambodia.

Giving the donations to refugees of the war of IOC and OCA is made in accordance with the principles of the MOU signed with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for any country which has war or other major disasters, with the aim of contributing to the UN in order to alleviate the suffering and continue to encourage refugees, youth and children to have the right to live, have the opportunity to learn and play sports.
