The belt owner of Boostrong King of Power Kun Khmer Som Vichhai still shows 100% confidence that he can defend his belt from a second time against a potential Kun Khmer fighter from Siem Reap province.

The Kun Khmer fighter Som Vichhai will defend his Boostrong King of Power Kun Khmer belt for the second time on January 24, 2026.

The candidate who entered to win the belt from Som Vichhai in the 63.5 kg weight category is the rising Kun Khmer fighter from Siem Reap province, Jin Chang.

Speaking to AMS media at Viboldarith Club, Khan Por Sen Chey, after training, Som Vichhai confirmed that, he is 100% ready to defend his belt for the second time, because the fighter come to compete to win the belt on this second time is a strong fighter.

Som Vichhai said that, for preparing to welcome the strong fighter from Siem Reap province, facing to defend the belt, he has been training for more than a month. His body, mind and weight are already. All that remains is to wait for the day to enter the ring.

For defending the belt at this second time, after he has been won the belt at the first time from the fighter Long Jin and foreign fighter, and has defended successfully at the first time from defeated the player Veng Sopheak.

This belt owner has mentioned about competing composition, saying that I know Jin Chang very well. He is on the rise, especially in the international competitions. He has not known the word defeat yet. So it is not an easy match for me.

However, Som Vichhai believes that this match will be intense and could end in a draw because of the two have similar fighting styles. We are both like to play with the same styles, do not use much force, and are similar in strength, endurance, and physical fitness, so I think that fans will see a quality match in this match. Despite facing the strong opponent, Som Vichhai still showed his high confidence in himself.

In addition to his victory in the ring, Som Vichhai also showed his generosity. If he successfully defends the belt, he will donate some money to the parents and withdraw 1 million riel to the hero soldiers of the National Defense Force who are stationed along the border.

For this exciting match, if Som Vichhai can successfully defend the belt, he will receive a total  prize money of up to 28 million riel, or about $7,000. As for Jin Chang, if he can defeat the belt owner and win, he will receive the belt along with a prize of 12 million riel, or about $3,000.
