After received the remarkable success of organizing the 10K Women’s Run Day in the past, Sovannaphum Life Insurance Company has continued to support the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia in continuing the joint mission for another 5 years.
In fact, Mr. Loke Kah Meng, Executive Director of Sovannaphum Life Company, and H.E Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, jointly signed on the cooperation agreement for another 5 years on Friday morning, January 30, 2026, at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia.
Mr. Loke Kah Meng emphasized that, this is a collaboration to promote women’s health in sports and contribute to social work. During the past cooperation, the Executive Director of Company has seen an increase in women participating in the 10K Run, which shows a greater awareness of health. That is why Sovannaphum Life Insurance Company is committed to continuing to work with the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia in the future, and hopefully not just for another 5 years, but for a long time.
But for H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, said that the 10km Women’s Run Day was organized to promote gender equality and women’s participation in sports. In addition, this year’s event focuses on the theme “Women Running on the Path of Peace”, which demonstrates the support of Cambodian people for peace. H.E Vath Chamroeun continued that, as of this time, nearly 3,000 people have registered, while the organizers hope to have around 4,000 participants on the official day of the race.
Mr. Sem Phalla, Executive Director of the Marathon organization, said that out of the 10km run, there will also be a 4km fun run that allows families, including mothers, fathers and children, to join in the fun run, and the commission will make good arrangements for the safety of participants.
Please note that the 2026 Women's 10K Run Day will take place on Sunday, March 8, in front of Wat Botumwatey Park.
