After received a huge success in organizing the event of the first Baby Olympics in Cambodia and receiving many requests from parents, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia has decided to expand the age limit for children to 10 years old. This was announced by the Organizing Commission of Competition of the First Baby Olympics in Cambodia at the opening ceremony on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at AEON Meanchey Mall.

In the 1st Organization and in history, this special sporting event and never has in Cambodia, has received participation from more than 350 young boys and girls between the ages of 1 and 7. The competition was held in 10 sports and ended with everyone smiling happily.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, said that the sporting event of the 1st Baby Olympics in Cambodia was created to provide opportunities for young children to showcase their sporting talents and compete against each other. But this competition is not focused on winning or losing, but rather on cultivating the sporting spirit in children for their health and intelligence. Not only that, participating in sports also strengthens the bond between parents and children.

For the 10 sports in the first year of the organization, there are: Baby crawling, basketball, Olympic Intellectual sports, running, badminton, cycling, weightlifting, football, martial arts, and Kids' golf, and each sport is also divided according to the age of the kids.
