36 Weightlifting Participants Completed the Level 1 Technical Official Training Course

36 participants, including four women, completed the third Level 1 Technical Official Training Course of the Cambodia Weightlifting Federation on Monday afternoon, February 9, 2026, after it began on February 7.

Mr. Chhum Veasna, Secretary General of the Cambodia Weightlifting Federation, said that the 36 participants came from Phnom Penh, Kandal Province, Kep Province, Battambang Province, Kampong Speu Province, Takeo Province, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pursat, Prey Veng, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Svay Rieng and Oddar Meanchey, by received the training from internationally licensed technical official.

For the lessons of this training course focused on the roles of technical officials, the roles of jury and judges, the role of competition director, the roles of referees, the role of technical director, the role of timekeepers, the role of competing secretary, the role of communication and information chief, the role of announcer during the competition, the roles of doctors, the role of weigh-in team and other important roles.

As a result of the study, 9 participants received good grades, 8 excellent grades, and 15 average grades. Mr. Chhum Veasna continued that, the Cambodia Weightlifting Federation has 45 officials and technical officials, including 11 students, 16 undergraduates, and 18 bachelor's graduates, and some of them are officials of ministries, capital and provincial institutions.

H.E. Tem Meun, President of the Cambodia Weightlifting Federation, appreciated and highly evaluated the work results of the instructors and participants, which are of national and international standards to achieve work for the nation and the homeland in the future.

His Excellency also urged all participants to commit to implement the knowledge they have learned effectively in their missions - and will prepare to continue studying to achieve the national and international high standards.
