Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) announces to give $33.34 million for athletes to participate in the Olympics at Brisbane in 2032

(Australia): The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has announced to give new fund of $33.34 million to support athletes before participate in the 2032 Olympic Games in the Brisbane.


This budget also includes support for the retirement of Olympic athletes and cash prizes to help athletes return to top competition after having children. 


This fund, created with the aid without repay back with a total of $20 million from the Australian Olympic Foundation (AOF), will provide $5,000 (Australian Dollars) to every athlete who was selected to compete at the Olympic Games, from the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games to the Brisbane 2032 Games.


Please inform that, Australia has been hosted the 2000 Olympic Games, with that the Australian Olympic Foundation (AOF) now has a net asset value of A$200 million, which is a part of the principle to divide the income of organizing the Games.


The net future funding from charitable donations will be added to the aid of the AOC which already established and the central government fund for Olympic athletes.


In late 2024, the Federal commission committed to provide $385 million (Australian Dollars) to high-performance sport over the next 18 months, a reasonable target for the host country of hosting the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games on home land.
