As of the second night of the 2025 National Boxing Championship, there are many people have contributed to the Federation’s fund to continue to help the army heroes and refugees of the war who suffered from the inhumane invasion of the Thai military.
H.E. Buy Sophoan, President of the Cambodia Boxing Federation, said that the budget that receives from the contributing fund and the sale of the Federation’s shirts by the second day of the national boxing championship has exceeded 10 million riels, which is more than expected.
According to the statement of H.E. President of the Federation, the sale of the Federation’s shirts and the opening of the fund-raising campaign through QR Code scanning have been running for more than a week, with the Federation estimating that it could receive 10 million riels. However, the actual amount has already exceeded 10 million riels. Therefore, H.E. Buy Sophoan expects that after the end of the National Boxing Championship, the participation of the Federation’s fund will at least receive more than 10 million riels.
For the sale of shirts, the Cambodia Boxing Federation has prepared 200 shirts, which has booking since before the competition day, and on the actual competition day, there were many more direct purchases. So as of the 2nd, there are only a few shirts left.
Please note that, the 2025 National Boxing Championship will be held for 4 days from December 23 to 26 at the Karate Hall of the Royal University of Phnom Penh. For the greater purpose, in addition to finding resources for outstanding male and female athletes to join the national team, the Cambodia Boxing Federation has also organized the fund to help army heroes and refugees of the war.
