Mr. Yiv Vandy expressed his great joy at representing Cambodia as an international WT Taekwondo referee at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
This is the third time that the Cambodia WT Taekwondo official has participated in an international event, the first being a world-class competition in Singapore and the other two international competitions in South Korea, which included the Korean Open and the WT Taekwondo for the military.
Mr. Yiv Vandy emphasized that this is a special experience that he can learn more and share with WT Taekwondo referees in Cambodia.
A man from Sihanoukville province said, “The International competitions like this give us new experiences and new knowledge that we can learn and share with players to develop WT Taekwondo in our country.”
Mr. Yiv Vandy began training in WT taekwondo in 2000, and after stopping from competition, he became a coach and learned to be a referee because he saw that the resources of WT taekwondo referees in Cambodia were not yet abundant.
