NOCC Launches the 2025 Olympic Values ​​Education Program in Phnom Penh

The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) has launched the 2025 Olympic Values ​​Education Program (OVEP), by starting in Phnom Penh on December 9 at Chaktomuk Secondary School, with approximately 100 students participating.

H.E. Buy Sophoan, NOCC Advisor and speaker of this program, said that with permission from the leaders of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, today, the working team of organizing of the Olympic Values ​​Education Program organized the first program at Chaktomuk Secondary School to educate and promote the Olympic Values ​​as well as the history of the Olympic Movement from ancient times to modern times.

This is an annual program that the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia has always organizes to instill the aware of the Olympic values ​to students, as well as to urge the movement “One youth know how to play at least one sport in their lifetime” in line with the policy of the Royal Government. In addition, this year, NOCC is also associated with the promotion of the campaign towards hosting the 2031 Asian Youth Games in Cambodia.

His Excellency Advisor highlighted that, for this year’s OVEP program, planned to organize for a total of 8 schools during December 2025, including 5 schools planned to be organized in Phnom Penh and 3 more schools to be organized as following in the provinces in the near future. At the same time, before starting the program, the working team also organized a one-minute silence to respect the souls of innocent Cambodian citizens and military heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect the integrity of the national territory along the border.
